The Long Good Friday (1980)

Harold Shand (Bob Hoskins, in his breakthrough role), is the leading London gangster. He's forming an alliance with shady Americans to fund the London canino development. But when bombs destroy some of Shand's properties and some of his staff are found murdered, he's driven to find out who is responsible.

Others in the cast include Helen Mirren as Shand's moll, Pierce Brosnan in a non-speaking, small but pivotal role, Paul Freeman, Charles Cork, Eddie Constantine, Leo Dolan.
