The Man Who Knew Too Little (1997)

Wally Richie (Bill Murray), a Blockbuster employee from Des Moines, decides to spend the birthday money his brother sent him for a trip to London to surprise his brother Jimmy (Peter Gallagher). Little does the doltish Wally know that Jimmy is involved in espionage and doesn't need Wally to be in London right at that time.

Jimmy gives Wally tickets to the Theater of Life, an experiemental participatory theater activity, which Wally sinks himself into while Jimmy is hosting a dinner for international leaders.

Unfortunately, Wally is mistaken for a spy and becomes emeshed in plot to assassinate Russian dignitaries just as a treaty is to be signed that would avert a second Cold War. Now the CIA is involved along with a Russian hauncho, Boris "The Butcher" Blavasky (Alfred Molina), a Russian femme fatale, Dr. Ludmilla Kropotkin (Geraldine James), a corpse and a ticking bomb.
