Critical Jim (Tim Allen) is a movie-loving hit man. When he demands money at gunpoint from Cletis Tout (Christian Slater) –- who is really Trevor Finch, maybe, who assumed Tout’s name after escaping from prison –- he is regaled with a story instead.
The faux Tout tells of a wily jewel thief named Micah (Richard Dreyfuss) who faux Tout met in prison and from whom faux Tout learned about a diamond stash. The faux Tout and Micah escaped together. Add to the mixture Micah’s daughter daughter Tess (Portia De Rossi), who either hates Finch or loves him, depending on various stages of the story.
Also appearing are Billy Connolly and RuPaul.
