Tom Cutler (Samuel L. Jackson) a former New Jersey cop, now operates a bio-cleaning company that thoroughly cleans up human and animal waste, especially that left after a human death, either natural or criminal.
Cutler is called in to clean up a shooting scene and goes about his business in his usual professional manner. The order to clean had apparently been cleared by the police department but later Cutler realizes that the police knew nothing about it. A man is missing from his home and it's the home Cutler cleaned -- and probably destroyed all evidence of a murder.
Meanwhile, Cutler's teenage daughter Rosie (Keke Palmer) is asking him many questions about the death of the man who killed her mother. And it's clear there's major corruption in the police department.
Also appearing are Ed Harris and Luis Guzmán as a couple of Cutler's old cop cronies, Eva Mendes as the wife of the missing man, Maggie Lawson as Cutler's office assistant, and Robert Forster as the pathologist.
Directed by Renny Harlin.
