Down on his luck Thomas Bardo (Stephen Rea) is evicted from his room in a residential hotel because he can't pay the rent. Though he has a job interview that day, the landlord is firm. Downsized from a responsible job, he's really been having trouble getting work and is very frustrated. Now he's walking around with all his worldly possessions, namely his clothes, bundled up in his arms.
Brandi Broski (Mena Suvari) is a nursing assistant at an old folks home and is about to be promoted to head of the nursing assistants.
That night, as homeless and dejected Thomas roams the streets, Brandi parties at the club with her boyfriend Rashid (Russell Hornsby) and co-worker Tonya (Rukiya Bernard). Impaired, Brandi leaves the club in her car and strikes Thomas as he crosses a street.
Brandi speeds away with Thomas' upper body through her windshield. She first goes to a hospital but is frightened and ends up driving home and parking the car in the garage to try to hide the mess. Thomas is still alive but completely stuck and dripping blood. When Brandi goes inside the house and to work the next day, Thomas uses whatever he has left to try to free himself. Brandi returns with her boyfriend to finish Thomas off and dispose of him but are they in for a big surprise.
Not for the squeamish.
