.
Henry Poole (Luke Wilson) needs only to buy a house, live out his last six months in isolation binging on junk food and booze before his terminal illness claims him. But others get in his way -- a real estate agent (Cheryl Hines) who doesn't seem to understand boundries, a nosy neighbor (Adriana Barraza) who sees the image of Jesus in the new stucco on Henry's house, a mute child (Morgan Lily) who has post traumatic shock syndrome and secretly audio tapes conversations and her mother (Radha Mitchell).
Also appearing are George Lopez as the priest, Richard Benjamin as Henry's doctor, Rachel Seiferth as a store clerk who takes an interest in Henry, and Noah Dahl as Henry in childhood.
Touching and poignant.
Rated PG for thematic elements and some language.
My personal rating: B+
