Despite the fact that his own cousin tried to fulfill a mob contract to murder him, Jackie DiNorscio (Vin Diesel) won't rat out his cousin. Nor will Jackie rat out the 19 others who "love him" in what turns into the longest Mafia trial in American history -- 22 months.

Much of the dialog of this film was taken directly from the court transcripts.
